From the Clausing Automatic Surface Grinder CSG-1224ASDIII The enlarged column and base creates high stability and rigidity, which is vital in ensuring precision. The maximum height is 23” from table surface to the centre line of spindle. Hydraulic longitudinal table movement and servo motor drive for cross feed movement, and rapid up/down motor for fast wheel positioning.
In addition, we have two further Surface Grinding machines: The Jones and Shipman 1400E & the 540L.

What is Surface Grinding?
Surface grinding is used to produce a smooth finish on flat surfaces. It is a widely used abrasive machining process in which a spinning wheel covered in rough particles cuts chips of metallic or non-metallic substance from a workpiece, making a face of it flat or smooth.
